Founded by CMA Entertainer of the Year and 10-time GRAMMY nominee Eric Church and entrepreneur Raj Alva in 2020 as a purpose-driven creative incubator for whiskey innovation. After three years of research and development into creating and curating the finest possible whiskey products, processes, team, and partnerships, the company officially launched its first of many planned whiskey releases, Whiskey JYPSI’s Legacy Batch 001, in June 2023. This whiskey recently received the coveted Double Gold Medal from the San Francisco World Spirits Competition – awarded to only the finest products in the world. Categorizing whiskeys by “mash bill”, or the percentage of each type of grain, has become a shorthand way of indicating the style and character of the finished liquid inside the bottle. Legacy took that shorthand and used cross-category blending to reconstruct the traditional mash bill with single grain whiskey’s that were separately aged - without consideration for regional or national boundaries. This allowed us to select from a wider portfolio of international whiskeys - and to ensure that each whiskey is at the exact right age and flavor profile to perfectly harmonize this particular blend. We call it Whiskey JYPSI to celebrate those who think differently, reinvent the rules and seek greater adventure and purpose in life. Those who live life with a “JYPSI Spirit.” After all, it was this philosophy that inspired us to turn a celebrity brand on its head, and use it as a platform to promote innovation and creativity. Not just to showcase another star. As a result, Whiskey JYPSI has taken the extraordinary step of securing a proprietary “library” of various whiskeys from around the world. Enough to continue our series of limited-quantity releases for the next decade. And each batch of our Legacy Series whiskey will be unique in its sourcing, blending and finishing approach. When one batch is sold out, it will not be replicated.
