Je moet flink investeren; maandenlang in opleiding zijn, zelf geld betalen voor een opleiding of er een tijdje op achteruit gaan in salaris. Niet iedereen wil en kán dat. Als je een gezin te onderhouden hebt en de huur moet betalen, bedenk je je wel twee keer voordat je de stap neemt je te laten omscholen. Zo wordt de IT voor bepaalde groepen onbereikbaar, terwijl de vraag naar (potentieel) IT-talent enorm is. Dat werkt kansenongelijkheid in de hand.
