AmacaThera is a Toronto-based biotechnology company focused on developing and commercializing a unique, injectable hydrogel platform technology for a wide range of medical applications. Based on the research of world-renowned biomaterials scientist, Dr. Molly Shoichet, AmacaThera is commercializing combination products at the interface of biomaterials and pharmaceuticals. We have developed a platform technology which addresses the critical problem of sustaining therapeutic delivery of pharmacological agents for multiple disease areas.  Currently, we have developed a combination product for post-operative pain, which is our company's lead project.

Edesa Biotech, Inc. (Nasdaq: EDSA) is a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company developing innovative ways to treat inflammatory and immune-related diseases. Our most advanced drug candidate is EB05 (paridiprubart), a monoclonal antibody developed for acute and chronic disease indications that involve dysregulated innate immune responses. Edesa is currently evaluating EB05 in a Phase 3 study as a potential treatment for Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS), a life-threatening form of respiratory failure. In addition, Edesa is developing an sPLA2 inhibitor, EB01, as a topical treatment for chronic Allergic Contact Dermatitis (ACD), a common occupational skin condition. The company has also received regulatory approval to conduct a Phase 2 trial its EB06 monoclonal antibody as a treatment for vitiligo, a life-altering autoimmune disease that causes skin to lose its color in patches. We also are planning a future Phase 2 study of paridiprubart for systemic sclerosis (scleroderma), an autoimmune rheumatic disorder that causes fibrosis (scarring/hardening) of skin and internal organs.

Exact Imaging is the world’s leader in high-resolution micro-ultrasound systems enabling real-time imaging and guided biopsies in the urological market for prostate cancer. Exact Imaging’s ExactVu™ micro-ultrasound platform operates at 29 MHz and enables a whole new level of resolution with the benefits of ease of use, affordability, and being an extension of the current urological workflow. Using the Exact Imaging platform, urologists are able to visualize areas of interest in the prostate and specifically target biopsies at those areas. For the minority of cases where MRI might assist (i.e., prior negative biopsies), FusionVu™ is the micro-US/MRI fusion application operating on the ExactVu micro-ultrasound platform - - and guided by the system's 70 micron real-time resolution. The ExactVu micro-ultrasound system, including FusionVu, has received regulatory approval in the European Union (CE Mark), the United States (FDA 510(k)) and Canada (Health Canada medical device license).

Founded in 2003, Spinal Kinetics is a privately-held medical device company focused on partnering with spine surgeons to develop innovative and practical motion preservation systems for treating degenerative diseases of the spine. The M6 artificial disc is the first of these non-fusion motion preservation products intended to replicate the anatomic and biomechanical attributes of a natural intervertebral disc. The M6 is the only artificial disc that mimics a natural disc’s design by incorporating an artificial nucleus and annulus into both its cervical and lumbar platforms.
