The European Australian Business Council (EABC) is one of the premier and most effective corporate forums in Australia. The EABC enables business leaders to engage in high-level dialogue on economic and public policy issues with Australian and European political leaders, senior officials, diplomats and business delegations. Since the EABC’s establishment in 1999, our Members have contributed greatly towards forging stronger business and institutional links between the European Union and Australia, working in close partnership with the official agencies of the European Commission and the Australian Government, and other peak business organisations. The Council has long-championed a more ambitious economic framework for the bilateral relationship through the negotiation of a comprehensive Australia-EU free trade agreement. As an independent, private sector-led initiative, the Council also works with Australian and European governments, diplomatic missions and trade agencies, international organisations, as well as bilateral chambers and other peak business associations.

Since 1978, AKBC has been a national body committed to promoting two-way trade and investment with the Republic of Korea, fostering economic cooperation and partnerships between the Australian and Korean business communities. Korea is one of Australia’s largest bilateral trading partners and the opportunities for deepened engagement and economic success are increasing. The AKBC provides its members with a forum for the exchange of the latest information on economic, financial and commercial developments in Korea and Australia. Chaired by Hon Simon Crean, the AKBC works closely with senior business leaders in Australia and Korea, governments in Korea and Australia and business communities to enrich relationships, promote understanding of opportunities and ultimately, further increase trade and investment. The Australian-Japan Business Cooperation Committee (AJBCC) serves to foster economic opportunities between Australia and Japan. Founded in 1962, it further promotes understanding and cooperation between the two countries and their business communities - working closely with our counterpart organisation in Tokyo, the Japan Australia Business Cooperation Committee (JABCC). Our signature annual event is a Joint Business Conference (JBC) alternating between Australia and Japan; we also stage networking briefings on topics pertaining to Australia-Japan business. To learn more about membership and complimentary sign-up to our Japan Business Alert, visit https://www.ajbcc.com.au
