A Associação para a Extensão Universitária (APEU) foi constituída em Junho de 1993, por iniciativa de docentes e investigadores da Faculdade de Economia da Universidade de Coimbra (FEUC), como associação privada sem fins lucrativos. A APEU visa estabelecer a articulação entre as necessidades da comunidade em geral e os serviços especializados prestados pelos docentes da FEUC, nos domínios que se estendam para além da actividade lectiva curricular e da investigação científica propriamente dita. Desta forma, a APEU tem como objetivos principais desenvolver iniciativas que promovam a ligação entre as actividades da FEUC e a comunidade, com especial destaque para a realização de ações de formação e a elaboração de estudos aplicados no domínio das áreas de ensino e investigação da FEUC.
