3rdKind was established a year ago by ex-Capcom and Gameloft staff, specializing in localizing and promoting apps in the Japanese market. The company has close relationships with all the major carriers in Japan, such as Apple Japan, KDDI, and Docomo. 3rdKind recently announced a partnership with Japan’s second largest carrier KDDI to supply games to the "Smart Pass" service, a suscription based Android store. The service has become very popular since starting in March this year, attracting over 1,000,000 users.
