Women Founders Network (WFN) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides education on entrepreneurship and investing to women and girls.
Through our annual Fast Pitch competition, we provide access to capital, visibility, and mentoring for female founders. Our Startup Fundamentals webinars and community networking events offer valuable resources and connection opportunities for female founders. Since 2013, WFN and its members have awarded and invested over $1.9M in women-founded companies and alumni have gone on to raise over $250M in funding.
We hope to inspire the next generation of women entrepreneurs and investors through our Due Diligence Analyst program for university women and our Junior Venture Capitalist program for girls in grades 9-12.
Our Annual Fast Pitch Event takes place in October. Female founders: Learn more and apply for the Fast Pitch at www.WomenFoundersNetwork.org from April 1-May 31.

The Stibel Dennett Consortium for Brain and Cognitive Science at Tufts University was created in Academic Year 2019-2020, representing a diverse collective of research and teaching initiatives across the university. Through undergraduate and graduate level programs, endowed faculty positions, and academic research centers, the Consortium aims to deepen the scholarship and understanding of brain and cognitive science within the Tufts community and beyond.
Under the umbrella of the Consortium, two new endowed professorships were created at the School of Arts and Sciences in 2019: the Dennett Stibel Professor of Cognitive Science and the Stibel Family Assistant Professor of Brain and Cognitive Science. The university also received the gift of the company BrainGate, Inc., thanks to the generosity of Jeffrey Stibel, A95, and the company’s shareholders. BrainGate, Inc. is focused on developing brain-computer interface technologies to restore the communication, mobility, and independence of people with neurologic disease, injury, or limb loss. Through these new endowed faculty positions, access to the cutting-edge technologies of BrainGate, and Tufts’ existing research centers and programs, the Stibel Dennett Consortium for Brain and Cognitive Science provides an overarching narrative for the interdisciplinary research taking place in this arena across the university.
