Our goal is to accelerate the growth of Iowa’s bioscience sector. We run the States SBIR/STTR Outreach Program, helping Iowa startups access federal funding dollars through Americas Seed Fund.
In February 2021 BioConnect Iowa, in partnership with the ISU Startup Factory, also launched the Iowa G2M Accelerator, a 3 year program designed to boost the Iowa startup ecosystem.
The G2M Accelerator provides follow-on support to innovative high-tech companies that have previously participated in an accelerator or other structured support program.
Cohort members are provided support and consulting services from providers in a range of areas including legal support, financial services, branding/marketing and HR/recruiting.
The Iowa G2M Program is partially funded by a US Economic Development Administration grant and is in partnership with BioConnect Iowa, Iowa State University Startup Factory and VentureNet Iowa.

WiserCare is an enterprise patient decision support platform that covers a broad range of high-value decisions, from preventive and chronic condition care to serious illness and advance care planning. The company offers a portfolio of digital modules as well as facilitation services by a world-class network of certified professionals.
Health systems and ACOs deploy WiserCare to support their providers in meeting quality and financial performance metrics while providing personalized care. Health plans and risk-bearing providers look to WiserCare to ensure their members get the evidence-based care that is right for them or to support their provider networks in value-based care.
Our programs include advance care planning, high-frequency primary care decisions (e.g. preventive care, chronic conditions), high-value specialty decisions (e.g. orthopedics/spine, urology, women’s health, cardiology, GI), and serious illness (e.g. CKD, COPD, cancer) - all designed to work in real-world healthcare workflows.
WiserCare’s patented decision support approach prepares patients and clarifies their preferences - their goals, needs, barriers, and preferences - related to specific health conditions and treatment choices. WiserCare guides patients to take the next step in their healthcare, with or without a visit. This allows care teams to practice top-of-license, resulting in more efficient and impactful visits with more satisfied and engaged patients.
