The organization formed around the resources and mission of College Open Textbooks (collegeopentextbooks.org), formerly a project of the Silicon Valley Education Foundation, the recipient of a grant from the Hewlett Foundation, and a well-respected resource in the nascent open education community. COT Education is now continuing that legacy by developing highly-accessible and affordable solutions and platforms for continuing education.
