La Fundación Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona (FUAB) es una institución creada en el seno de la Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona para colaborar con la Universidad en el desarrollo y en la realización de proyectos docentes complementarios a su oferta académica e impulsar nuevos sistemas de gestión en colaboración con diversas instituciones y empresas, y para la prestación de servicios vinculados a la universidad y la implementación de nuevos proyectos académicos, de investigación, de asesoramiento, de consultoría y de servicios. Asimismo, la Fundació UAB tiene la misión de establecer las líneas estratégicas de funcionamiento del conjunto de entidades docentes, servicios y patrimonio que la configuran, así como dirigir y liderar los proyectos que éstos impulsan. Para cumplir estas funciones tan diversas, la UAB y la FUAB han constituido una serie de fundaciones, empresas y consorcios que conforman una verdadera corporación. La Fundació UAB tiene dos sedes, en el campus de la UAB en Bellaterra y en Barcelona ciudad, en Casa Convalescència, edificio modernista ubicado en el recinto del Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau, declarado Patrimonio Cultural de la Humanidad por la UNESCO.
