Committed to combating the rise of fake news, Belgian company Look Live Media is launching an innovative AI-powered solution, VeriFlix, to source and authenticate user-generated video footage, for the first time. The project has received funding through leading Belgian broadcasting company, Roularta Media Group - an investor and early client of VeriFlix. Through Roularta, VerliFlix technology was recently awarded financial support by Google Digital News Initiative, a fund that supports innovation in high-quality digital journalism, to further improve the ways in which news stories are sourced and told. With the support of the funding, the VerliFlix technology is being developed by Look Live Media in partnership with the dedicated AI team at Belgium’s highest-ranked university, KU Leuven.
