We combine influences from cognitive psychology, human technology interaction, environmental design, entertainment, and gaming to bring new ways of consuming serious content to a wide audience. It is storytelling with a purpose. Every project is a quest to produce something unique and captivating to meet your audiences where they are. One of our current productions is Shadows Edge. Shadow’s Edge is the first ever mobile game designed to provide serious fun and build resilience in teens with severe health challenges. In a mysterious 3D world, the players complete journaling and artistic quests based on the principles of narrative therapy. We worked with psychologists, game designers, and teens to transform a seeming chore into something engaging and fun. Fun is about learning in a context where there is no pressure from consequence, which is exactly why games matter. Shadow’s Edge makes gaming the new pill and gives patients a voice that illness or disability has otherwise taken away.
