We are Capital University Law School.
What makes Capital University Law School a distinct learning environment for those seeking a legal education?
How about location, experiential learning and personality?
-Location
For someone who wants to learn the law – not just in the classroom, but in the real world – Capital University Law School is ideally situated.
The Law School is in the heart of downtown Columbus, Ohio, the state capital and America’s 15th-largest metropolitan area.
For aspiring attorneys, our location provides access to job and networking opportunities in law firms ranging from just a few lawyers to a few hundred. We are just blocks from the state, federal and local government agencies that hire many CapLaw graduates. And Central Ohio boasts numerous Fortune 500 companies and other major corporations.
Plus, Capital University Law School is in the heart of the Discovery District, near the Columbus Museum of Art, Municipal Library, and three other major college campuses. We exist near a vibrant social scene, including Columbus Blue Jackets professional hockey, Columbus Clippers minor league baseball, world-class restaurants, concerts, theaters, night clubs, symphonies, ballet… everything you would expect in one of the nation’s most thriving cities!
-Experiential Learning
The professional upshot of our location is that Capital’s commitment to offering our students a depth and breadth of experiential learning is way more than just marketing lingo. It’s a priority. We know that to differentiate themselves in the job market, CapLaw graduates must have real-world experience that will help them hit the ground running and be assets to their future employers from day one.
Our students have unique opportunities to put their classroom knowledge into practice, through our in-house legal clinics, more than 150 externship sites, law review, moot court and other diverse extracurricular programs and offerings.
