Tutut museot yhdessä kohti uutta! Arkkitehtuurimuseo ja Designmuseo sulautuivat vuoden 2024 alussa Suomen arkkitehtuuri- ja designmuseosäätiöön.
Museot kansainvälisesti ainutlaatuisine kokoelmineen muodostavat tulevaisuudessa uuden arkkitehtuuri- ja designmuseon, jolle suunnitellaan uusi museorakennus Helsingin Eteläsatamaan.
Arkkitehtuurimuseon ja Designmuseon toiminta jatkuu AD-museo Oy:ssä yhteisellä ohjelmistolla tutuissa osoitteissa Helsingin Kaartinkaupungissa.
Two familiar museums together towards the new! At the beginning of 2024, The Museum of Finnish Architecture and the Design Museum Helsinki merged into the Foundation for the Finnish Museum of Architecture and Design.
The two museums, with their internationally unique collections, will in the near future form a new national architecture and design museum with a new building situated in Helsinkis South Harbour.
For the next few years, the Museum of Finnish Architecture and the Design Museum Helsinki will continue with a joint programme at their familiar addresses in the Kaartinkaupunki district of the city.
