Since 1911, East Tennessee State has focused on one mission: to improve the quality of life for people across the world. Nestled in the breathtaking mountains of the Appalachian Highlands, ETSU offers nationally ranked programs in the health sciences, the arts, digital media, and technology. But what happens outside of the classroom is just as important. At ETSU, you’ll make community connections, gain hands-on experience in your field, and help solve some of society’s toughest problems. Here, you’ll find the resources of a large university. But our personalized approach makes campus feel like home. It’s a place where people call you not just by name but by your favorite nickname. Where safety officers will gladly help you jumpstart your car. And where even the university president hosts open office hours every week.
