Reaching Out MBA (ROMBA) is a 501(c)(3) organization that focuses on educating, inspiring and connecting students & alumni from the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender & queer (LGBTQ) MBA & Graduate Communities in an ongoing effort to create the next generation of out business leaders. Through its programming, anchored by its annual global conference, Reaching Out: โ€ข Educates our community about the opportunities and challenges of being an LGBTQ MBA and alumni business leader, how to capitalize on those opportunities, and how to overcome those challenges โ€ข Inspires and enables the LGBTQ MBA & graduate community to be leaders in their careers and in society โ€ข Builds connections among LGBTQ MBA & graduate community The organizations year-round series of global programming & services are focused on leadership development among LGBTQ business students and alumni. For much of this content, Reaching Out works closely with multinational corporations and other organizational partners to create appropriate and sustainable employment opportunities for our LGBTQ MBA association members as they move into their professional careers. The organization is best known for its annual global LGBTQ MBA & Graduate Conference, often referred to as the ROMBA Conference. In 2022 this conference brought together over 1,800 LGBTQ students, alumni and corporate representatives. Reaching Out also partners with a group of leading business schools for the LGBTQ MBA Fellowship, which provides scholarship (over $6M awarded by our school partners annually) and leadership development opportunities for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender & queer MBA students as well as their active allies.
