The European Union Chamber of Commerce in China was founded by 51 member companies based in China on 19th October 2000. The European Chamber now serves more than 1700 members in nine cities: Beijing, Chengdu, Chonqing, Nanjing, Pearl River Delta (Guangzhou and Shenzhen), Shanghai, Shenyang and Tianjin. The Chamber is recognised by the European Commission and the Chinese Authorities as the official voice of European business in China. The European Chamber is a member-driven non-profit fee-based organisation with over 40 Working Groups and Forums. It is recognised as a Foreign Chamber of Commerce with the Ministry of Commerce and China Council for the Promotion of International Trade.

Shanghai University of Political Science and Law (SHUPL) was established in 1984, SHUPL is situated in the well-known Sheshan Mountain scenic area, and it covers an area of 1078.6 mu (about 72 hectares). SHUPL features practicality and application. It educates personnel of various disciplines at multiple levels. Guided by a scientific development outlook, SHUPL is becoming a highlevel liberal arts university with distinctive features and producing intellectuals with practical skills. The university now has 12 academic schools, and other teaching departments include the Graduate School, Department of Physical Education, Network and Modern Education Technology Center, and Vocational Training Center. Many of SHUPL’s faculty members play a leading role in national academic organizations. Mr. Liu Yungeng, former chairperson and party secretary of the Shanghai NPC standing committee, is the honorary president of SHUPL.
