Doli Diaries is a free wedding mobile app for brides-to-be. It is a place where wedding inspiration ideas are sent everyday for wedding dresses, hair, make-up, jewellery, honeymoon, theme weddings and more… A doli (pronounced – doh-lee)(डोली) (ﮈ ﻭﻟﯽ) is a traditional palanquin like a Cinderella carriage in which historically a bride left her father’s home and proceeded towards her husband’s home after the wedding. A doli used to be a very private space for the bride, covered with curtains and flowers where she could gather her thoughts and remember her entire journey from engagement to wedding and step into a new life with her husband. Though a traditional ‘Doli’ is now replaced with flower-ornamented cars but it still holds an emotional significance for the bride-to-be. Carrying this tradition forward, Doli Diaries came into existence. A doli is very symbolic of the end of a bride’s pre-wedding journey and the start of her post-wedding journey.
