Rubicon Partners was founded in 1993 as a specialist, hands-on investment partnership with a focus on acquiring and operating industrial businesses. Since then we have acquired 78 manufacturing, distribution and service companies, in a range of end-markets, across Europe and North America. Our focus is on complexity, both within individual companies as well as groups of businesses or portfolios. We have extensive experience in acquiring from private family ownership, management, corporates and private equity funds. The hallmark of our approach is certainty of execution and long-term investment strategy. We operate as an active, hands-on board with the aim of developing, both operationally and strategically, the businesses that we acquire, subsequently finding a long term home for those that we sell. We work in close partnership with existing management in an open, transparent style. We encourage our management teams to develop their businesses in a comprehensive way. Our interest is to acquire companies with an enterprise value in the range of £20-£200m.
