Founded in 1992 as a 501(c)(3), Hermosa Beach Education Foundation raises critical funds needed to provide a quality education to children and bridge the gap between what is provided by state funding and what is needed to provide an award-winning education. HBEF raises 8-10% of the operating budget of the district annually with a focus on funding instructional programs in science, technology, music, art, foreign language and other subjects.
