The European Venture Fund Investors Network (EVFIN) is a platform for dialogue launched in 2011 by major national investors in venture capital (VC) in response to the financial crisis and its major impact on this sector across the EU. Given the key role that venture capital plays in the EU competitiveness and growth and considering the lack of efficiency of the EU Venture capital market, EVFIN members have decided to:
(1) Share best practices among EU investors in Venture Capital funds
(2) Contribute to the EU public debate and explore measures to create a sustainable EU Venture Capital market
(3) Encourage coordinated initiatives to foster cross-border dimension of VC investments
(4) Offer opportunity for a constructive dialogue between all actors of the EU venture capital industry and the EU institutions
EVFIN initiative is complementary to the general activity of the European Private Equity and Venture Capital Association (Invest Europe) and the EIF-NPI Equity platform.

We will directly invest into deep tech driven enterprises, identifying opportunities across all the 24 participating Allied nations, as well as into other funds who will help realise our mission of collective security and prosperity.
Over time, the NIF’s investments will attract and encourage more like-minded investors, and help transform how nations and the private sector work together to face emerging challenges.
