Sea4Us is a biotechnology company based in Sagres and Lisbon (Portugal) that specializes in the discovery and early development of new pharmaceutical drugs based on novel marine compounds. Sea4Us has developed a platform, based on marine biology and ion channels, that allows the identification of novel pharmaceutical drugs deriving from marine-living organisms for several unmet clinical needs that have ion channels as therapeutic targets. This drug discovery platform can be used to identify novel modulators for ion channels involved in different pathologies such as chronic pain, epilepsy, diabetes, cardiac arrhythmia, hypertension, and skin diseases, among others. The company’s activity is focused in studying marine-living organisms’ compounds bioactivities, consequent biotechnological production or artificial chemical synthesis of bioactive pure compounds, and pharmaceutical development including non-clinical and early clinical trials. BioMimetx is a newborn global biotech start-up focused on the development of "green" antifouling solutions, to prevent marine biofouling, the natural mechanism of adhesion of marine organisms to submerged structures. BioMimetx discovered and owns environmental bacteria that secrete high levels of molecules, which can be used as natural antimicrobials and algaecides. Currently these molecules are being produced through an optimized lab-scale fermentation process, ensuring high yield through a simple single step procedure. As the first product, BioMimetx is developing an antifouling additive to be incorporated in marine paints. Nonetheless, these compounds, produced by BioMimetx, can be used in the development of a wide range of products with applications in the most diverse industrial sectors such as Industrial biotech, Agriculture or Health. BioMimetx developing pipeline will be structured to sequentially introduce products that capture the highest value in those markets.

We permanently remove carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. Pavnext is a technological pavements company. Pavnext solutions consist of road pavement equipment that allows kinetic energy to be extracted from vehicles and consequently reduce their motion speed without any action of the driver and without impacting the vehicle, thus promoting road safety at locations where it is required to circulate at low speed.
