Connected Living London (CLL) is a long-term partnership between Transport for London (TfL) and Grainger plc, the UK’s largest provider of private rental homes. CLL will deliver thousands of quality homes across London, 40% of which will be affordable. Our buildings will become part of the local community, and it is our intention to ensure the places we are creating respond to the local heritage. We want to boost the number of homes in London, develop proposals in the right way and generate sustainable income that TfL can reinvest into the transport network. A fundamental attribute of the homes that CLL will deliver is that they will benefit from excellent transport links, which we will build on by promoting healthy streets thereby maximising opportunities to walk, cycle and use public transport.

The Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH) is the independent voice for housing and the home of professional standards. Our goal is simple – to provide housing professionals with the advice, support and knowledge they need to be brilliant. CIH is a registered charity and not-for-profit organisation. This means that the money we make is put back into the organisation and funds the activities we carry out to support the housing sector. We have a diverse membership of people who work in both the public and private sectors, in 20 countries on five continents across the world. Further information is available at: www.cih.org

Women In Social Housing South West provides networking, support, mentoring, training and career opportunities for women working in the housing sector in the South West region. The South West branch was formally launched in October 2011 and since then has gone from strength to strength. Our aim is to hold at least six events every year. By clicking here you can see the success of our past events. We have a very pro-active Board and it is important to us that our members help shape our future events programme. We are proud that our events are always well attended, topical and FUN! Feedback is positive and we always invite engaging speakers to our events. At WISH South West we really believe in the power of networking and the benefits it brings to both career and home life. WISH South West covers a wide area – Bath, Bristol and Avon, Cornwall, Devon, Dorset, Gloucestershire, Hampshire, Somerset and Wiltshire. We have overcome the geography and lack of transport infrastructure in the South West by holding our events in Bath, Bristol, Plymouth, Southampton and Yeovil. We often hold the same event at different locations so our members don’t have to travel too far. Our membership base consists of women from across the social housing sector, housing associations, local authorities, development consultants, developers, solicitors, accountants and recruitment consultants to name but a few. We have been very well supported by local companies and we extend our warm thanks to all those who have given us, premises, sponsorship, staff time etc. to enable us to become as successful as we have. Board Members: Michelle Thomas – Chair Dee O’Neill – Membership Secretary Lynda Bates – Treasurer Wendy Murphy Gill Smith – Marketing Lara Borrett-Lynch Ellie Lee – Events Coordinator Natasha Moore Gillian Wright Abbigail Lightfoot Christine Kessler-Robinson
