Oregon Sports Angels (OSA) is an Oregon based Angel Network. We are a non-profit, member-based organization made up of a diverse team of experienced sports, outdoor and fitness industry professionals, entrepreneurs, investors and do-gooders. Our mission is to find and help grow the next great sports & fitness product and service companies. We focus our investments on high-potential, early stage, sports product, experience, service and technology companies. Launch Oregon brings innovators, investors and partners together to move ideas from the research bench to the wider world. Driven by a mission to turn promising research and concepts into commercially viable ventures, Launch Oregon connects relationships with resources to transform great discoveries into even greater impact. Launch Oregon partners with the University of Oregons Industry, Innovation, and Translation (IIT) unit on best practices for translating research and begins working with teams as they apply to IIT’s Translational Opportunity Program (TOP). Assisting UO startups with establishing a board of directors, hiring executive leadership, and attracting strategic advisors and investors, Launch Oregon is invested in the success of this innovation and commercialization process.

We invested capital in new companies in growing markets — clean tech, digital biology and information technology. Our initial investment was typically about $1-5 million, usually partnering with other venture capital firms. We are in the process of completing the journey of our seventh fund (OVP VII) helping those portfolio companies realize their full potential. We are no longer considering investments in companies outside the existing portfolio.
