The Government Technology Agency of Singapore (GovTech) spearheads Singapore’s digital government transformation and development of the public sector’s engineering capabilities to build a Smart Nation for our citizens and businesses. Through our efforts, Singapore has ranked first out of 118 cities in the 2021 IMD-SUTD Smart City Index. Our work can be classified into three broad areas: 1. Products We have established capability centres in Digital Services, Smart City Technology, Data Science & AI, Cybersecurity, and ICT Infrastructure. Through the effort of over 700 in-house software engineers, we have developed products for our citizens, businesses and the government by spearheading strategic national projects. 2. Services Our Services group works directly with over 60% of Singapore’s government agencies and helps them with their digital transformation. 3. Cybersecurity & Governance We are the lead agency for cybersecurity, and our Governance group is responsible for setting ICT policies and guidelines for the rest of Singapore’s public sector.
