MARCOD is a national knowledge center that assists the Danish maritime service and equipment industry to convert new ideas into competitive products, services and business processes. MARCOD supports maritime businesses in the development and sales of products and services within environmental optimisation and operation. MARCOD was established toward the end of 2010 with assistance from the Market Development Fund, Northern Jutland Growth Forum, and start-up capital provided by six founders. MARCOD’s aim is to create 400 jobs over a five-year period. The centre has eight employees and is Silver Label certified by the European Cluster Excellence Initiative (ECEI). What can MARCOD do for you? MARCOD’s aim is to contribute to increased growth for Danish maritime companies. Of course, there are many paths to growth, and we can help you with everything from organisational and product development, fundraising, project management, and maritime network facilitation. We run a series of conferences on current topics and contribute to research in the maritime field. MARCOD's services include network development, maritime business development, research and knowledge sharing, qualified labour and branding. Moreover, MARCOD hosts a maritime trainee programme as well as business development programmes for SMEs (Scale-up Denmark) and start-ups (Maritime Stars). During 2020 MARCOD is financially supported by The European Regional Development Fund and The Danish Executive Board for Business Development and Growth. Danish Maritime Days is a major new event for the global maritime industry. It brings together a broad spectrum of leaders from across the industry with the objective to find new solutions to the most important challenges facing the industry today and in the future. The next Danish Maritime Days will be held 28 and 29 October 2020. With many events – including conferences, briefings, exhibitions, symposia, company visits, receptions and dinners – planned throughout the week, Danish Maritime Days will be an opportunity to meet your peers from around world, to make new connections, to be inspired and to pave the way for new partnerships. Danish Maritime Days is a global platform for collaboration across the industry. SEA Europe is the European Shipbuilding and Maritime Equipment Association. Originating from the fusion of EMEC, the European Marine Equipment Council, and CESA, the Community of European Shipyards'​ Association, its purpose is to represent the European Maritime Technology Industry as a whole. Based in Brussels, SEA Europe represents close to 100% of the European shipbuilding industry in 16 nations, encompassing the production, maintenance, repair and conversion of all types of ships and floating structures, commercial as well as naval, including the full supply chain with the various producers of maritime systems, equipment material, and services. Den Danske Maritime Fond er en privat, erhvervsdrivende fond. Fondens formål er at yde økonomisk støtte til initiativer, der fremmer vækst og skaber arbejdspladser i dansk søfart og maritim industri. Den Danske Maritime Fond blev stiftet i 2005 i forbindelse med Folketingets lov om omdannelse af Danmarks Skibskreditfond til aktieselskabet Danmarks Skibskredit A/S. Fondens grundkapital udgøres af 10% af aktiekapitalen i Danmarks Skibskredit A/S, og afkastet heraf udgør Fondens primære indtjeningsgrundlag.

WATERBORNE has been set up as an industry-oriented Technology Platform to establish a continuous dialogue between all waterborne stakeholders, such as classification societies, shipbuilders, shipowners, maritime equipment manufacturers, infrastructure and service providers, universities or research institutes, and with the EU Institutions, including Member States. The strategic objectives of the WATERBORNE TP are: - Establish a continuous dialogue between all stakeholders in the waterborne transport sector and in other waterborne-related sectors on R&D; - Contribute to the widest possible consensus regarding R&D and to focusing of efforts and resources; - Develop a common medium- and long-term R&D Vision and a Strategic Research Agenda (SRA); - Contribute to the appropriate mobilisation and allocation of the necessary financial resources (private/regional/national/EU sources); - Contribute to the social expectations regarding clean, competitive and safe waterborne transport as well as regarding other waterborne-related activities, including education and training. For WATERBORNE to reach its goals, it is necessary to engage all relevant stakeholders of the European maritime industry, such as classification societies, manufacturers, research institutes, shipyards, shipowners, or universities, as well as the European Institutions and Member States. This approach should ensure that, whilst national policies will vary according to particular challenges, effective mechanisms are developed to enable adequate research coordination and cooperation between the relevant stakeholders at EU/EEA level.
