HARBO provides an immediate offshore containment boom (floating barrier) that prevents the disastrous consequences of marine oil spills. What turns oil spills into major disasters is the simple fact that there are no immediate containment systems on board large ships and oil rigs. So, there is nothing on-site to prevent the oil slick from spreading. HARBO's lightweight and portable system solves this problem.

ACTia's mission is to work with industry and government in Alberta to advance clean technology research, innovation, development, and manufacturing. Our Goals are: To become the first point of contact for Alberta’s clean technology community To become the central point for news, education, regulation, policy, financing / investment, engineering, etc. To assist in showcasing best practices in clean technology from Alberta and around the world. To influence the regulatory and policy environment in support of clean technology To assist members / constituents in navigating and helping to define and refine regulatory and policy hurdles To link new and expanding clean technology business to financing and investment through direct referrals, networking events and in establishing new investment and finance mechanisms To establish a central directory of the clean technology industry in Alberta as well as the national and international groups and associations To advance education and professional development opportunities that will bring Albertans to the cutting edge of clean technology innovation and adoption

Creative Destruction Lab (CDL) is a nonprofit organization that delivers an objectives-based program for massively scalable, seed-stage, science- and technology-based companies. The nine-month program employs an objectives-based mentoring process to enhance the performance of technical founders who learn from the insights of experienced entrepreneurs, with the goal of maximizing equity-value creation. Founded by Professor Ajay Agrawal in 2012 at the University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management, the program has expanded and now has 11 sites across six countries: Toronto, Vancouver, Calgary, Montreal, Halifax, Paris, Madison, Seattle, Estonia, Berlin, and Melbourne.
