We are BankTech Ventures, a strategic investment fund built to strengthen the future of community banking. We source, invest in, and support bank-enabling technology companies that address the real operational and competitive needs of community banks. Our ecosystem brings together bankers, founders, and industry partners to accelerate adoption of solutions that materially improve how community banks operate and grow.
We were formed in 2021 in response to a clear market gap. Community banks needed a more efficient and trusted way to access and evaluate emerging technologies. With more than $115MM in committed capital from over 100 community banks and strategic partners in our first fund, we set out to create a purpose-built investment platform dedicated to bank innovation.
We go beyond capital. We combine deep banking expertise, collaborative validation with our limited partners, and rigorous diligence to guide founders toward true product-market fit. We focus on technologies that enhance customer experience, improve risk and compliance, strengthen data and analytics capabilities, and unlock automation and operational efficiency.
Our team and General Partners come directly from the community banking ecosystem, including two of the country’s most innovative community banks. This structure gives us a unique vantage point into banks’ needs and allows us to support portfolio companies with strategic insight and distribution pathways that traditional venture funds cannot offer.
With more than 24 portfolio companies and a growing pipeline of bank-focused innovators, we remain committed to a simple mission. Make community banks stronger, more competitive, and better equipped for the future.
