Kingo provides a distributed renewable electricity service as a scalable response to one of the grandest challenges facing humanity: ENERGY. The Company has created a sustainable system and go-to-market strategy that unlocks worldwide access to clean energy. Kingo’s vision is to reach 100 million homes by 2035, making it the largest utility in HISTORY.
The current focus of Kingo is to bring prepaid electricity services to off-grid communities, as 17% of the world’s population still lacks access to power. Access to energy represents one of the biggest restrictions for progress, as it conforms the base for all productive activity. These 1.2 billion people pay for the most expensive energy substitutes (candles/kerosene/diesel), making solar more affordable here versus in any other market in the economy. Kingo’s first mover advantage in the off-grid market is the initial step towards introducing the “new age” electric utility worldwide.
Kingo has experienced a dramatic growth over the last 2.5 years, going from a 450 home pilot in January 2015, to 60,000 homes as of March 2018. The Company is on a successful path to positively impact 1 million homes by 2020.
The Company is investing heavily in the development of the technology that will allow for sustainable worldwide electrification. Past and current trends in solar energy and battery storage, plus the convergence of other disruptive technologies such as the Blockchain, the Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Wireless Energy, make it 100% probable that the transition to a sustainable green economy will occur.
Kingo’s mission is to turn lives ON. By pulling the curve of innovation, Kingo has set itself as a trailblazer in the evolution of the world’s energy consumption.
Join us, and let’s turn lives ON together!
