The Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI), an independent not-for-profit organization based in Boston, Massachusetts, is a leading innovator in health and health care improvement worldwide. The project provides executive education for selected medical students of the university and rotating internships at renowned Brazilian health care institutions. Its curriculum comprise a wide range of topics related to medical performance, health care management, executive training and strategy. The internships are structured as health care management traineeship programmes, an unique and pioneering opportunity for medical students. The partner companies include the biggest medical cooperative of the world (Unimed), a credit union (Unicred) and an internationally accredited hospital (Hospital Monte Sinai).
