Austria Wirtschaftsservice (aws) is Austria’s leading governmental bank providing funding for Austrian companies, in particular small and medium sized innovation driven companies. The Swiss Institute of Longevity (SIL) was founded on May 9, 2021, to support early-stage start-up activities in the field of #longevity. The non-profit organisation aims to support early stage start-up activities based on longevity research projects, especially in Europe. The core element is a network of scientists and experienced entrepreneurs who evaluate potential projects. After a positive evaluation, they support the start-ups, on a case-by-case basis, financially and operationally. The institute will be located in Central Switzerland in the canton of Nidwalden, close to the well-known Buergenstock Resort. In the first phase, the institute will be organised virtually as far as possible. Interested people are invited to join the network and contribute to the Institute with their time, skills or contacts. People willing to support specific start-up projects are especially welcome.

Based on research by Max-Planck scientists, Cerefort develops functional food products based on compounds that have a beneficial effect on mitochondrial integrity and function - supporting cellular fitness. The first product, Mitobene, produced from beer wort by a patented fermentation process is a blending component for a wieder range of alcohol-free refreshing drinks. Cerefort is looking for co-operation partners for the market introduction of Mitobene, further product development and market introduction of more mitochondria-stimulating functional beverages and food products.

Juvabis designs next-generation antibacterial therapeutics that withstand mechanisms of bacterial drug-resistance and at the same time display superior tolerability due to increased target selectivity by rational design. Juvabis has been founded around a proprietary technology developed by researchers at the University of Zurich, and a pipeline of early drug candidates discovered in collaboration with researchers at the ETH Zurich and Wayne State University in Detroit.
