Wir haben als Gesellschaft vielfältige Herausforderungen und um diese zu meistern, ist die Auseinandersetzung mit unterschiedlichen Meinungen und Lösungsansätzen zwingend notwendig. Polarisierungen der Debatten stellen dabei allerdings eine echte Gefahr für unseren sozialen Frieden dar. Sie führen zu einer Entfremdung untereinander und spalten unsere gemeinsame Lebenswelt. Laut einer Studie von „More in Common Deutschland“ empfinden 75% der Deutschen die öffentliche Debatte als zunehmend hasserfüllt (Faultlines: Deutschlands unsichtbare Gräben“, Studie 2019, More in Common Deutschland). Es geht also – auf der Basis unseres Grundgesetzes – nicht darum, dass unterschiedliche Standpunkte schlecht sind (im Gegenteil!), sondern es geht vielmehr um das WIE dieser Auseinandersetzungen. Können wir es schaffen, dass unsere Debatten konstruktiv und respektvoll geführt werden, insbesondere wenn die Lösungsansätze auseinandergehen? Wäre es nicht großartig, wenn wir alle unsere jeweiligen Blasen verlassen würden, um den Mitmenschen zu sehen und zu hören, und nicht einen Feind? Nicht möglich? Wir haben die Hoffnung, dass wir gemeinsam unseren sozialen Zusammenhalt tatsächlich wieder aufleben lassen können. Mit respactivist wollen wir genau das tun – aus der Gesellschaft heraus.
