The Japan Center for International Exchange (JCIE/USA) strengthens the foundations of US-Japan relations and deepens international cooperation. As a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization founded in 1975 in New York, JCIE/USA works in close partnership with JCIE/Japan in Tokyo, organizing exchanges for American and Japanese political leaders, sponsoring policy dialogues, and building ties among nonprofit organizations. The vision of APALI is to advance civic leadership education and to create a civic leadership pipeline from underrepresented communities.
