Over a decade ago, I faced a major setback when I failed my GCE O Levels. Subsequently, I dropped out of polytechnic, enduring ridicule from nearly everyone around me. In the eyes of society, I was an embarrassment, but I refused to give in. So I delved into books on self-help, career planning, and personal finance. I experimented with various jobs and projects, seeking financial growth while navigating through challenges. My path included job-hopping, involvement in MLMs, attending "wealth seminars," and trying my hand at Forex trading. These endeavours resulted in the loss of almost all my savings, leaving me seemingly hopeless. Then, several changes occurred: • I abandoned "motivational" content in favour of traditional philosophy. • I persevered through numerous rejections from recruiters, eventually becoming well-versed in the hiring process. • I quit the pursuit of "get-rich-quick" schemes and simplified my financial approach. Since then, I have taken on various jobs and freelance opportunities, gradually building up my financial reserves. I realised that the conventional formulas were either flawed or outdated, and my small tweaks brought about significant changes. These life lessons were not found in textbooks, and I made it my mission to share them with young adults. Results: 🧠 I established a community of over 25 students equipped with strong psychological skills. 👨‍🔧 I assisted more than 8 clients in finding fulfilling jobs they love. 💵 My money management tools were adopted by over 5 individuals who now manage their finances with confidence. SeriousCamo is a tactical casual business founded by Glavis on 17th November 2015. At the age of 17, he learned how to design camouflage patterns with computer software hoping to improve on existing designs. There was a huge variety of designs (about a hundred over) he tried from pixelated to non-pixelated camouflage. He developed more patterns at the age of 18 where he got his designs to be fabric printed. Glavis founded SeriousCamo not long later. Customers and teams have worked with SeriousCamo to create their own apparels for outdoors and shooting sports. Since then, SeriousCamo was no longer solely a camouflage business, but a tactical casual business aiming to fill the gap between tactical and casual products.
