Etna Hitech (EHT) is a consortium of hi-tech companies operating in the fileds of ITC, Training and Industrial technologies. The consortium, actually counting 20 companies, represents innovation and entrepreneurship, among the business established in the territory: the so called Etna Valley in Sicily.

SmartBug is a disruptive alternative in the market, combining innovative technology and personalized service. SmartBug's proposition is a radically new approach to home automation products in line with the most innovative smart-home strategies. We have developed a wall switch; elegant, touch and gesture enabled, capable of achieving all the automation goals of a real smart home, through individual devices installed as a kit of several identical nodes. No physical connections, gateways or additional hardware are required. SmartBug is a complete system, allowing very complex scenarios. It's a user-friendly infrastructure that physically replaces home switches and pays attention to existing habits (on/off), but adds unlimited intelligent capabilities to every appliance in the house. Each SmartBug device is equipped with sensors that can measure temperature, humidity, listen to sounds, measure precise energy consumption (it is possible to connect additional sensors with a connector) and also has a proprietary multi-radio mesh standard (internode), Wi-Fi (for Internet connection), BT (to be extended with additional devices: external sensors, audio speakers, etc.) in full extensibility.

Gli ”Advisors” della Società hanno cumulato esperienze pluriennali in diversi ambiti tecnici ed economici presso Aziende manifatturiere Hi-Tech, Università ed Enti Pubblici di Ricerca (EPR) anche internazionali. Negli ultimi anni,maggiore focalizzazione si è avuta sulle metodiche e sulle tecniche di pianificazione, controllo e gestione sia di investimenti industriali che di progetti di ricerca e sviluppo, spesso (ma non sempre) accompagnati dall'elaborazione di richieste ad Enti Governativi per l'agevolazione economico/finanziaria. A riguardo le numerose iniziative industriali sposate dall'azienda e dai suoi protagonisti riguardano principalmente progetti caratterizzati da significativi contenuti tecnologici, anche se riferiti a settori tradizionali. Ciò al fine di migliorare la capacità competitiva delle imprese in un contesto globale.
