Friends of the Children-Seattle works to impact generational change by helping youth who are facing the toughest systematic barriers in our community realize their power through relationships with salaried, professional mentors--for 12+ years, no matter what. Our full-time, salaried mentors support youth to: 1) be prepared for post-secondary education and/or employment 2) develop positive goals for the future 3) develop a healthy lifestyle Youth spend 3-4 hours of intentional time with their professional mentor every week, developing goals and participating in activities to build life skills.
