Founded in 2016, Wharton Alumni Angels is an active angel investment group composed of University of Pennsylvania alumni and non-Penn alumni who have joined their angel community. Helix Geospace is developing a range of small form factor, high-performance, antennas for use in a wide range of demanding telecommunications and navigation applications including GNSS, Internet of Things (IoT), autonomous vehicles/driverless cars, drone delivery platforms, LEO satellite communications, personal body-worn devices and Machine-to-Machine (M2M) communications. Our Dielectric-loaded Multi-filar Antennas (DMAs) for GNSS applications enable the 10cm dynamic accuracy that will be demanded for driverless cars, UAS, aerospace and many other safety critical applications where reliance of smart systems and autonomy will prevail. Our multi-frequency DMAs support GPS, Galileo, Glonass and Beidou constellations, with highly focused phase centre, and high common-mode noise rejection. They are immune to multi-path effects caused by reflections in city environments, and are also resilient to interference, jamming and electrostatic discharge. The ceramic substrate concentrates the electric field, minimising near-fuel effects. DMA antennas are designed for rugged applications, so are ideal for military, aerospace and automotive products.

CivilGrid is a construction intelligence platform combining layers of utility, environmental, and geotechnical site data. We aggregate and curate datasets that developers, engineers, and construction companies need to make critical planning and project implementation decisions. By partnering with local utilities and agencies, we gain access to the most current GIS datasets. These datasets help you accelerate project due diligence, reduce utility research and project engineering cost, and improve risk identification and construction planning.

Orbit Fab envisions a thriving in-space market for products and services that support both existing space businesses (communications and Earth observation) and new industries like space tourism, manufacturing, and mining. The first step is achieving ubiquitous availability of satellite propellant in Earth orbit, expanding the operational potential of new and existing space assets and providing unprecedented business model flexibility for satellite owners. The future for satellites is no longer restricted to the fuel they are launched with. Orbital Sidekick (OSK) is helping companies meet their sustainable operation goals by creating the most advanced space-based hyperspectral infrastructure and spectral intelligence in existence. Our real-time insights enable unparalleled monitoring services for both commercial and defense users on a global scale. OSK is currently building its GHOSt hyperspectral satellite constellation for deployment in 2022. GHOSt will provide daily target monitoring services to OSK’s customers in the energy, mining, and defense sectors. Services will include oil and gas pipeline monitoring & methane mapping, clean energy resource exploration, sustainable mining practices, precision agriculture and wildfire risk mitigation.

Kubos is a satellite software company. We focus on providing cloud technologies to the satellite industry through our mission control platform, Major Tom. Major Tom is a unified cloud platform to integrate and control ground segment applications and services, through out-of-the-box integrations, data analytics, real-time dashboards and a customizable commanding API. Customers will have complete visibility and control across the entire space and ground segment.
