The Glen Echo Fire Department (Station 11) operates as part of Montgomery County (MD) Department of Fire Rescue Services. The station is a staffed by 5 career firefighters who are employed by Montgomery County and volunteer EMTs and firefighters. Our volunteers provide additional staffing on nights and weekends. Both volunteers and career personnel are held to the same standards for training and classes taken.
