TBT Group is a US based manufacturer of specialized ceramic components that are used in many different electrical applications in the defense and commercial industries. TBT focuses on piezoelectric and dielectric ceramics that can be found in industries such as automotive, industrial, defense, electronics, telecom (5G & IoT) and medical devices. The three markets we focus on are: Piezoelectric materials: The piezoelectric ceramic is an energy harvesting material which can create electricity when subjected to a mechanical stress. The material is found in sonars, transducers, and fuses in ordnances. The piezo material sends and receives a signal through air, water, or a solid material. Dielectric materials: Dielectric ceramics are electrical insulators that are the building blocks of electrical circuits. These are used in electronics including capacitors, frequency filters and RF antennas. Sensors: TBT manufactures the piezo material that integrates into sensors. Sensors make it possible to convert forces, pressures, and accelerations into electrical signals. TBT is able to customize the material to the specific end use.
