BIO.NRW is the official network for biotechnology and life sciences in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germanys largest and most economically powerful federal state. Since 2009, BIO.NRW has been acting on behalf of the State Government of NRW, with the Juelich Research Centre managing the office. BIO.NRW encourages collaboration between businesses, research institutes and the state sector along value-added chains in the most important areas of Life Sciences and Biotechnology, with a particular focus on supporting start-ups in terms of financing, internationalisation and access to public funding, including project consortia.
