Douglas Gernert

At the heart of Travelpro® is a man who knew more about travel than most. As a commercial airline pilot, Bob Plath crisscrossed the globe a thousand times, always with suitcase in tow. He saw what happened to luggage over time and the toll in took on the traveler hauling it. Bob thought there had to be a better way. Dedication is at the heart of our success. At Travelpro®, we believe that a company is only as good as its people, and when associates are treated as the greatest asset, the worth of the company is magnified. We demonstrate this by fostering individual achievement, recognizing contributions, and rewarding excellence. With customers as our focus and people as our priority, even the sky is no limit.

We build value. For over 20 years and throughout multiple market cycles, our team has established a proven track record of consistently creating value through innovative capital solutions across the private equity and credit markets.

Habitat for Humanity of Greater Charlottesville (HFHGC) was founded in 1991 as an affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International. We work with low-wealth families, volunteers and the communities of greater Charlottesville to create safe, decent, affordable housing. Over the past three decades, we have built homes in partnership with more than 250 families. The scope of our mission and vision continues to broaden, deepen and evolve as we seek to combat the local affordable housing crisis. HFHGC strives to be an agent of hope and to strengthen community in everything we do.
