The mission of AOIA is to support the development of sustainable, profitable businesses capable of providing a return to member investors, to serve as a catalyst to connect resources across the region to build successful businesses, and to enhance wealth creation of the people employed by the companies that receive investment from AOIA. The fund is led, designed, and funded by local investors, who assist in identifying, evaluating, and placing private investments. The fund will directly increase the economic growth and performance of the greater Athens Ohio Region and will collectively improve the economic sustainability and prosperity of its residents. The Appalachian Investors Alliance (AIA) are the technical advisors who facilitated the fund formation process and now administer the fund.
