RIGImmune is a biopharmaceutical research company focused on the development of innovative RNA therapeutics to prevent or treat serious respiratory diseases with high unmet clinical needs. The company was co-founded by the prominent scientists Drs. Akiko Iwasaki and Anna Pyle from Yale University to advance the development of a novel class of oligonucleotides called stem-loop RNA therapeutics or “SLRs,” which were discovered in Dr. Pyle’s laboratory. To effectively deliver these RNA compounds without requiring lipid nanoparticle encapsulation, RIGImmune internally developed a proprietary nano-emulsion delivery technology platform named NEED™ and collaborates with SubIntro, which was co-founded by the prominent research scientists and successful respiratory drug and formulation developers, Drs. Garth Rapeport, Kazuhiro Ito, and Jag Shur. RIGImmune’s lead products aim to enhance the innate immune response against viral respiratory diseases, and treat cystic fibrosis, respectively. At Alphina Therapeutics we are working to fulfill the promise of precision oncology — higher response rates for more patients. Our approach combines two cutting-edge scientific breakthroughs: First, our drug candidates use antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) technology to deliver potent NAMPT inhibitor payloads directly to the tumor. By disrupting cancer’s energy supply, these next-generation payloads are designed to kill both dividing and non-dividing tumor cells. Importantly, our therapies can be effective even when other ADCs, including Topo1-based treatments, no longer work. Second, we have developed a proprietary test that identifies the patients most likely to benefit from NAMPT inhibitors. Our goal is simple: match the right treatment with the right patient to achieve superior outcomes. Unlike most targeted treatments that help relatively few patients, ours could benefit more than 450,000 people each year in the U.S. alone. Our mission is to apply these breakthroughs to deliver smarter, more effective cancer therapies to the patients who urgently need them.

Purpose-built for organizations conducting clinical trials and observational studies, we leverage our AI-powered patient-matching platform and clinical expertise to optimize feasibility and speed up patient identification by extracting structured and unstructured data from electronic medical records (EMRs) that captures three times more trial criteria. Why: We believe sites are vital to the success of clinical trials. Empowering them to find the right patient for the right research at the right time is the focus of everything we do. What: We leverage our best-in-class technology and data expertise to detect more protocol-eligible candidates than traditional methods, so that site teams can focus on the parts of the job they actually love. How: We deliver an AI-powered software platform and support from clinical experts that enables our customers to find and match patients to available clinical research. With unbelievably fast and highly-accurate data extraction from electronic medical records (EMRs) we can capture three times more trial criteria - making trial participation more accessible and efficient.

Bringing the Power of Proteomics to Every Lab Bench! ProteoWise is revolutionizing multiplex protein analysis with the Hyperblot System. The Problem: Proteomics is hard to do at the lab bench. Traditional western blot analysis is cumbersome, consumes a lot of sample and yields very little data per run. This bottleneck makes proteomic hypothesis investigation very difficult. The Solution: ProteoWise has developed a product with an immortalized membrane that captures and covalently binds protein, allowing hundreds of targets to be rapidly analyzed on the same sample - today, tomorrow, next year – this allows focused, limitless proteomic interrogation for the first time.

Simcha Therapeutics is a clinical-stage immunobiology company pioneering the development of first-in-class engineered cytokine therapeutics with transformational promise for patients. The company is built on a foundation of scientific rigor to overcome biological challenges in clinically translatable pathways, exemplified by the first decoy-resistant interleukin-18 (IL-18). By unlocking the potential of IL-18, Simcha is developing its lead program (ST-067) as monotherapy and in combination with potentially several other anticancer agents. ST-067 is currently being studied in a Phase 1/2 clinical trial, in patients with solid tumors and who have progressed on other immunotherapeutic agents. Beyond IL-18, the company’s underlying approach to immune-biology and cytokine engineering has broader potential to support disease-modifying therapeutic options for a range of significant diseases.

Halda is inventing novel precision medicines for oncology. Specifically, we are developing RIPTAC™ therapeutics, a new drug modality for the treatment of cancer. Founded by world renowned Yale scientist, Professor Craig Crews, Halda invented RIPTAC therapeutics as an innovative cancer treatment approach that does not rely on traditional oncogenic disease drivers to target cancer. This powerful technology is designed to overcome the known bypass mechanisms of drug resistance, a common limitation of today’s precision cancer medicines. Using a novel ‘hold and kill’ mechanism, RIPTAC therapeutics target cancer cells selectively by bringing two proteins together in a tightly regulated manner, causing the loss of an essential function for cell survival and subsequent cancer cell death. We have built a pipeline of RIPTAC therapeutics for major cancer types, uniquely addressing the unmet needs of drug resistant cancer patients, and we will continue to invent new medicines using our proprietary platform technology. We are a bold company where collaboration, passion, and creativity thrive, all of which allows us to push the boundaries of drug discovery to identify better solutions. Halda is proud to be a New Haven, CT based biotech, located with headquarters and state-of-the-art labs in Science Park.
