The construction industry is primed for a digital disruption. Stagnant productivity and unreliable outcomes cannot (and will not) keep pace in the digital age of smart cities and cryptocurrency. At the same time, the result of industry complacency, and resistance to change, have led to outdated performance metrics that value individual profits over productivity. This culture has produced too many situations where project stakeholders face direct incentives to create waste, rather than remove it. There’s a better, more efficient way. To meet these demands and handle this disruption — to fully unlock construction’s digital transformation — experts from across industries and technologies need to unite and define a pragmatic path to the adopting standards in the digital age. And that’s precisely why the Construction Progress Coalition (CPC) was founded; we’re a grassroots organization uniting individuals and organizations around a shared vision of construction’s future.
