Yana partners with institutional investors, family offices and asset managers to invest directly in outstanding privately held small-cap companies across Europe. Our investors get exposure to highly attractive, entrepreneurial “off-market” investment opportunities in an organised and risk-controlled manner. To access entrepreneurial companies and unlock their value, we always cooperate with specialised local deal partners. Our deal partners are experienced independent sponsors, emerging private equity managers and tested entrepreneurs. We believe we invest in the most exciting and rewarding space of the private equity market, where entrepreneurship at all levels drives superior performance. Fostering collaboration between our investors, deal partners and entrepreneurs is what we call co-investing! HOW WE INVEST SMALL-CAP INVESTMENTS We invest in outstanding privately held European small-cap companies with EV of typically EUR 20 – 150 million that are in a growth financing or buyout situation. Together with our deal partners we take majority or significant minority positions. OUR INVESTORS KEEP CONTROL Whether our clients invest with us on a deal-by-deal basis or entrust us a mandate, they can decide on each transaction or delegate investment decisions to us. RISK REDUCTION As we invest in 4-5 transactions per year, our investors can build portfolios of 10-15 companies over time, diversified across countries, sectors, deal types and deal partners, and therefore reduce risk. LOCAL DEAL PARTNERS Successful small-cap investing requires strong local expertise and local networks. We always collaborate with entrepreneurial, hands-on local deal partners, be it independent deal sponsors, emerging managers or entrepreneurs. We have built one of Europe’s leading networks of experienced deal partners and foster these partnerships over the long term with respect and care.
