The Texas Taxpayers and Research Association (TTARA) is the state’s pre-eminent association focusing on responsible state and local fiscal policy and how those policies impact the Texas economy. TTARA is a non-profit, membership-supported organization of both businesses and individuals. Our membership includes several hundred of the state’s largest employers and taxpayers, as well as leading tax professionals and trade associations that represent businesses and professions. We provide our members with current information and high quality analysis of developing tax and spending issues. We provide educational services to our members and opportunities for them to network and meet with public policy makers. And we advocate changes in public policies where they are necessary to improve the state's fiscal practices and business climate.

The Bexar County Family Justice Center offers survivors and their children a single, safe location to receive comprehensive crisis services. By working together in one location, the multi-disciplinary team of agencies help support a victim’s transition from a life of crisis and “just surviving” to a life that is safe, stable, and hope-filled. The center provides free, confidential services including crisis intervention, protective order application assistance, adult counseling, child therapy, basic needs assistance and other services so that survivors become self-reliant and violence-free. If the services needed are not available onsite, staff work with our offsite community partners so that any referrals are warm, smooth and trauma-informed. As one of the primary referral sources for domestic/intimate partner violence in Bexar County, BCFJC serves approximately 4,000 families each year. That number skyrocketed to more than 5,000 in 2020 and is on track to exceed 6,000 in 2021.
