Philanthropitch is a pioneering educational program that culminates in a social impact fast-pitch competition for innovative and scalable nonprofits.
Philanthropitch was founded in 2013 as an internal, community engagement program at BuildASign, a startup in Austin, Texas. Philanthropitch has since launched into a national nonprofit platform, supporting 155 nonprofits and facilitating over $2.9 million in donations. We are proud to work alongside nonprofit organizations, corporations, foundations, and business leaders in Austin, San Antonio, Columbus, and Philadelphia to create sustainable and scalable impact.
Philanthropitch’s signature pitch competition program provides nonprofit organizations with knowledge, collaboration, and capital to scale their impact. Competition finalists receive 1:1 coaching and educational workshops as part of Philanthropitch’s intensive training program. The Philanthropitch program culminates in a live pitch event where finalists have the opportunity to receive funding and exposure to new donors, supporters, and mentors that will support their impact efforts well beyond the competition. Past supporters have included Google, TD Bank, H-E-B, and Hulu.

Students + Startups is a 10-week summer internship program that serves as the bridge between top talent and career advancing opportunities in San Antonio, Texas. We connect hard working college students and recent graduates with local startups and small businesses offering impactful and meaningful internship opportunities.
We work with a variety of San Antonio businesses in diverse industries and available positions change from year to year, dependent on participating companies and their hiring needs. Companies and intern candidates are vetted on a rolling basis up until applications close early February.
Programming begins May 31st, immersion week - consisting of welcome night, orientation, community service and professional development. Interns first day of work is June 5, 2023 and last day is August 11, 2023. Many companies offer the opportunity to extend your internship into the fall part-time, however this is not a program requirement. In the past 3 years, 62% of our interns were offered employment post-internship.
As our program continues to expand, our 2023 goal is to connect 101 intern candidates with 60+ companies.
Applications are now open for both intern candidates and companies. Apply through our website: http://studentsstartups.com/
