For 30 years, I’ve been a tech entrepreneur with a curious soul. While the majority of my time is now dedicated to humanitarian work through my NGO, The Small Projects Team, my passion for innovation remains a core driver. Along my 15 trips to Ukraine since March 2022, I have witnessed the Ukrainian defense tech ecosystems birth and its meteoric rise. It is evolving at a pace I’ve very rarely seen in three decades. Today, Ukrainian companies founded as recently as 2023 are already listed on the Nasdaq or acquiring competitors in Western Europe. It is vibrant, agile, and world-class, and it serves a cause that matters to me above all else: Ukraines victory against the moscovite barbarians. Driven by this energy, I started tracking every company and innovation I encountered in a simple Excel spreadsheet to keep my contacts organized. But as the ecosystem exploded, so did the data. To keep up with this growth, I decided to scale up and spent an immense amount of time personally building uadeftech.com. What began as a personal list has evolved into a real platform. I have implemented stricter and stricter control and validation mechanisms to verify every piece of data mined by AI, ensuring the highest level of accuracy. Even though I see many areas for improvement, I believe the platform is now solid enough to be shared. I am convinced this is a vital tool for Ukrainian and global companies, investment funds, law firms, administrations, and journalists.
