Womens Equity Lab’s (WEL) is a fun, collaborative and empowering way for women to actively engage in early-stage investing.
Launched in 2017, we now make up a diverse and powerful network of 400+ women investors, with syndicates located in Victoria, Vancouver, Toronto, Manitoba, the Atlantic and Silicon Valley.
Actively engaging women in the angel investment process translates into more women as advisors, board members, venture capitalists, angel investors and angel fund managers.
In the WEL model, partners in the investment round meet regularly to learn how to invest in companies, discuss opportunities, vet deal flow and make investment decisions. Every participant ends up with a deeper understanding of the angel investment process, a portfolio of early-stage companies and a great network of accomplished women. Other benefits include:
• Engaging with incredible entrepreneurs and investors
• Building value for the community and society
• Supporting companies that resonate with you and helping them grow
• Participating in new fields, transforming industries and the latest innovations
• Potentially making significant financial gains
• Continuous learning while building value

Sciteline is a digital health start-up whose goal is to drive an industry shift towards virtual clinical trials. Our software platform focuses on patients; collecting real-time data to improve clinical research and reimagine the patient experience.
Our tailor made platform for clinical trials can do a lot: registration and enrolment, electronic consent, patient monitoring, remote clinical assessments, notifications, telemedicine, e-diaries and access to trial data in real time. But this, and everything we do, starts with the people behind it.
Our cloud-based platform is PIPEDA and HIPPA compliant, as well as 21 CFR Part 11 certified. We know the importance of privacy and security of sensitive data.
