B Lab Switzerland is a non-profit public benefit foundation in Switzerland. We are part of the international network whose aim is to transform the global economy to benefit all people, communities, and the planet. B Lab creates standards, policies, tools, and programs that shift the behavior, culture, and structural underpinnings of capitalism. We also mobilize our community «The B Movement» to join collective engagements to address society’s most critical challenges.
Next to the B Corp certification we are offering national engagement programs, such as the Swiss Triple Impact program (STI) and the Swiss Boards for Agenda 2030 (SBA), as well as a broad variety of useful tools to help companies measure and improve their sustainability impact. We also offer education programmes for individuals as well as organizations, such as B Leaders or B Academy, and initiate and participate in political initiatives and collective actions.

1001fontaines is a non-profit organization acting in the international solidarity field and more specifically in the domain of drinking water.
Safe drinking water is a major issue for the people living in developing countries around the world. In Cambodia, Madagascar, Myanmar and Vietnam and one day hopefully in the rest of the world, 1001fontaines aims to turn it into safe drinking water.
The NGO 1001fontaines was created in 2004 and is dedicated to improving the health of isolated populations by enabling them to produce and consume safe drinking water based on a social business model that ensures the communities’ autonomy and sustainability.
The 1001fontaines safe drinking water production units (water kiosks) are managed as micro-businesses by local villagers trained to become entrepreneurs. The purified water, sealed in sterilised 20 litre containers, is sold to villagers at an affordable price. The exact selling price is determined in consultation with local community leaders, and is usually set at around € 0.02 per litre. The revenues generated by the water sales enable the local entrepreneurs to cover their costs and ensure the sustainability of the initiative.
A water kiosk generally produces 2,000 to 3,000 litres of safe drinking water per day, enabling 1,500 people to benefit from the service, or 250 families.
280 water kiosks are currently operating. Once a site reaches its break-even point (when revenues cover all costs), the entrepreneur takes part in the "Water in School" programme to provide water free of charge to children at school. Today our 280 water kiosks enable 870,000 people to benefit from safe drinking water every day and 300,000 children in their schools through the "Water in School" programme.
Our ambition is to reach 3 million beneficiaries by 2025.
